Whimsy 365: Day 43
I like the content lil’ smirk on his face as if he just ate his favorite meal and is ready for an afternoon nap. Winter is the best time for comfort food….roast beef, potatoes & carrots, meatloaf and garlic mashed potatoes with green bean casserole or roasted chicken, smashed potatoes, squash and corn. Hungry yet?
Blessings,
Teresa

Whimsy 365: Day 42
I am in LOVE with this guy….color will definitely be added to him! As you can tell, I enjoy sketching snowmen. After sketching and painting them for the past 20 years, I struggle to find new looks for Mr Frost. Once in a while, one strikes my fancy as this guy has done.
Happy Friday y’all! Enjoy your weekend.
Blessings,
Teresa

Whimsy 365: Day 41
We’ve had unseasonably warm weather for November here in Michigan. In the 60s….I’m lovin’ it and certainly could get use to it.
However, I know what lies ahead and, to be honest, I do love a white Christmas. I just wish winter wasn’t soooooo loooooong. Oh well, I’ve lived in Michigan my entire life, so I will just suck it up like I do every year. Or as they say, “put your big girl panties on and deal with it!”
Hope you’re having a mild November where you live.
Blessings,
Teresa

Whimsy 365: Day 40
This was a fun sketch combining Santa with my lil’ characters. I think I could sketch Christmas images every day as they are so much fun to create!

Whimsy 365: Day 39
Can you tell I’m getting in the Christmas spirit? I am in Thanksgiving mode as far as planning and decorating because we host dinner for around 30 people every year but the commercials, advertising and store displays are hard to avoid this time of year so Christmas is on my mind.
I must admit, however, Santa was giving me fits!! I sketched and re-sketched him so many times until I finally liked what I saw. (let’s just say Santa had a face lift!)
Enjoy your Tuesday!
Blessings,
Teresa

Whimsy 365: Day 38
Happy Monday!!! How do you feel about Monday? Do you fly out of bed with excitement to get to work and see what the amazing day holds? Do you get up, workout and get your day started early because you have many great things planned for your business? OR do you hit the snooze a few times, cover your head and wish more than anything you could do something else with your day rather than going into the office?
I can tell you I’ve lived both. I use to dread Mondays. Matter of fact, half way through Sunday, I’d start on the downward spiral because the weekend was almost over.
I decided I didn’t want to live my life that way so I did something about it! I started my own business selling my art and working from home! I am excited about Monday mornings. I look forward to working in my studio creating art, online tutorials, punchneedle and cross stitch patterns, etc. I am in control of my day, my future and my income. I love what I do and that’s all the inspiration I need.
Now…let me tell you a secret….you don’t have to be an artist to start your own business and work from home. Especially today, you can use the internet to create online courses, webinars, info products or just simply blogging. And for you creative types, you can make handmade items and sell online through Etsy, Amazon, Ebay and many more sites.
If you are unhappy in your job, make a change. Work a few extra hours a day creating your new business until you are ready to quit your day job and work your business full-time. Life is too short to spend the majority of your day in a job you don’t like. There is a ton of online sources to help you get started in your home-based online business. Here’s a list of people who generously offer FREE advice:
These are a few people I follow who are helping me grown my online biz.
By the way….today’s sketch was inspired by the snowflakes I witnessed over the weekend! Have a blessed week y’all
Blessings,
Teresa

Whimsy 365: Day 37
Today I sketched an angel that I will be painting soon as it is for a fundraiser for my best friend’s daughter who is fighting Leukemia.
Actually, I’m not sure if I’m going to put it in the silent auction or sell it online and donate the money. I’d rather have someone that lives local and maybe even knows my friend’s daughter to win the painting so I’m not sure which I should do. I want to make sure to get the most money for the painting in order help her.
I will post a photo of the painting when it’s finished.
Happy Sunday! Today is even more beautiful than yesterday! It’s in the 60s!! Yahoo!!
Blessings,
Teresa

Whimsy 365: Day 36
Angels, angels, angels….I can’t get enough of them! They are so fun to sketch and even more fun to paint. Can’t wait to get elbow deep in painting again.
The quote actually read “Nothing is more precious than time” but I added “with the Lord” because I feel time with the Lord is the best time we can spend in our day.
Hope you are having a wonderful Saturday! It’s sunny and in the 50s here in Michigan! Crazy for November but lovin’ it!
Blessings,
Teresa

Whimsy 365: Day 36
I can’t wait to paint this one! I am planning to release an adult coloring book in 2016 of my signature angels. Usually when I sketch an angel to paint using collage and acrylics, I don’t have anything drawn in the background or foreground because I use texture and color to make it interesting.
I decided for the coloring book, there needs to be a bit more going on in the drawing so I will be adding flowers, houses, trees, birds, etc to make the drawings more interesting.
I love the expression on her face. She looks deep in thought as she’s gazing off in the distance. Wonder what she’s thinking about?
Blessings,
Teresa
