This was the first original that sold at Market Square last Sunday. Love, love, love it!!! The colors are so yummy and warm……does anyone else find it hard to part with your original paintings? Another one that sold ….one I almost didn’t take with me because I loved it so much…was USA. It was the coolest piece of antique wood. It had a scalloped “shelf” at the top of the painting. I had collaged papers on the wood then painted over top of it for texture and pattern……hard to see it go…….but that is why we create art, right? to share with the world!!

Love the colors and shading you used, beautiful piece.
I haven’t painted in so long that I get confused with the new brands.
For basics, I use what is on sale, since i sand and stain it to antique them, but with paintings, I need to get some nice smooth colors, what ones do you use?

Hi Debbie…that is a loaded question! I mostly use the 2 oz tubes of Ceramcoat, Americana, and Folk Art acrylics. I have other brands too, but the three I mentioned are readily available at Michaels or JoAnns. I like them because they are fluid acrylics and not thick. Happy painting!!

Teresa, yes, I find it hard to part with my originals. Because I look at them as my daughters’ inheritance just in case the technology of these CDs, etc. is obsolete someday…..
Hugs,
Diane
